The Government of Uttar Pradesh is all set to open Atal Residential Schools in the state, where children of labourers will be given quality and free education. A total of 18 residential schools will be opened in 18 divisions, and their beneficiaries will be the children of labourers.

The programme is aimed at imparting a basic and quality education to these children.

The programme is proposed to be rolled out by the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UPBOCW), Department of Labour.
